PATRICK J. MARKEY specializes in commercial litigation primarily in the areas of intellectual property, construction, and commercial disputes. He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts. Since entering private practice, Mr. Markey has built upon his experience, effectively resolving numerous commercial disputes through negotiated settlements and trials.
Mr. Markey was most recently a shareholder in Robinson Donovan P.C. in Springfield, Massachusetts. During 2004-2006, while maintaining private practice, he served as Chief Legal Counsel for the City of Springfield. Prior to that, from 1993-1997, Mr. Markey was a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and in 1996, he was a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. Upon graduating with honors from Georgetown in 1992, Mr. Markey served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Edward F. Harrington, United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts.
