RICHARD D. GETZ focuses his practice on patent prosecution and litigation, intellectual property transactional and licensing matters, and trademark prosecution and litigation. Mr. Getz is currently an adjunct professor at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Lally School of Management and Technology, located in Hartford, CT.
Mr. Getz was previously a partner at McCormick, Paulding & Huber in Hartford, CT. Prior to entering private practice Mr. Getz was a patent attorney with United Technologies Corporation (UTC), including the large military and commercial engine businesses of the Pratt & Whitney division of UTC, and the Otis Elevator Company subsidiary of UTC. Prior to law school, Mr. Getz was a design engineer at the Farrel Corporation in Ansonia, Connecticut.
